Talks are given to the junior teachers on academic topics such as English for Specific Purpose, Language Teaching Methodoly, Language Testing and Evaluation, Phonetics, How to Teach Reading Skills and Writing Skills etc. They are given by senior teachers at 1:00 p.m. every Friday at the department reading room.
To improve English speaking skill on the part of the teachers of English as a foreign language the mini talk programme is conducted at 10 a.m. every Thursday. There every faculty member has to take part and give a ten minute talk on any topics of general interest. Each talk is followed by a discussion session by the other members.
Students have to take part in poster and pamphlet projects to be able to clearly and briefly cnvey certain important and useful messages or information to the target audience, for example health tips to take precaution against certain diseases, public health issues, conferences, educative talks, workshops and campaigns.
